Released a few months ago at the IPCPR trade show in New Orleans, the Nestor Miranda Art Deco cigar has been making its way around with some buzz. Blended by the master blender Don Pepin Garcia, this ...cigar uses both Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos to make up its rich flavors. It comes in three sizes: Coffee Break (4.5×50); Robusto Grande (5.5×54); and Gran Corona (6×60). Instead of the usual wooden boxes, these cigars come in metallic decorated tins.
A nice touch that’s outside of the norm.

La Aurora has been in business for more than a century-107 years to be exact-and the company is commemorating the milestone with the new Aurora 107 cigar. "We had defined our goal early on," said La Aurora vice president Guillermo León in a release, "and that was to bring the smokers a medium-bodied, richly flavored smoke with a fair amount of spice at a very attractive price. As for the name, it was decided to keep it simple, meaningful and easy to remember, hence La Aurora's 107th year."

The cigar comes in three sizes: Robusto (4 1/2 inches by 50 ring), Toro (5 1/2 by 54) and Belicoso (6 1/4 by 52). They are packaged in boxes of 21 and carry suggested retail prices ranging from $6 to $8 each. The blend is composed of an Ecuadoran sun-grown wrapper, Dominican binder and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

The tremendous support at the 1^st and 2^nd Annual Gala of Angels benefit in honor of the BLGS Foundation has raised over $150,000 in critical research dollars. These funds have enabled Dr. Mark S. Korson, Chief of Metabolic Service for Tufts Medical Center to travel to various medical centers each month to launch the Metabolic Outreach Service. This comprehensive medical education program is designed to expand education and training opportunities for physicians, medical students and other medical care professionals about metabolic and mitochondrial disease and patient care. This program currently serves SIX Medical Centers without a Metabolism Service in New England and New York.
